Turkish Delights

17 August 2014

In one of the famous land marks of Istanbul, the Haggia Sophia, or the seat of wisdom.  For almost five hundred years this huge cathedral has served as the center of Orthodoxy.  I could imagine the wonderful liturgies celebrated in this cavernous structure.  But after Constantinople fell to the Ottomans this structure was converted into a Mosque and later in the century it was converted into a Museum in Modern Turkey.  It was my dream to see this place and now I fell in awe as I try to immerse myself in this experience.
